If you’re anything like me, your to-do list is ever expanding and never ending. After trying a number of online solutions for managing tasks I’ve settled in with Gubb, a lightweight and intuitive web app that focuses on capturing and organizing all of your lists. While Gubb offers a beautifully simple interface, it also offers a host of advanced features providing a wealth of options for accessing your information.

Practical Uses:

• Track your goals, actions, and calls in a centralized location accessible from virtually any computer or mobile internet device
• Implement David Allen’s “Getting Things Done” (GTD) methodology without cumbersome computer-based software
• Remind yourself to get your car’s oil changed using email and SMS text message alerts
• Add your daily actions to your calendar if it supports the iCal protocol (Mac computers, Google Calendar, etc.)

Insider Tips:

• Start with a simple list and adjust the settings to your desired preferences
• Get a copy of any list sent to you via email by sending a blank message to it’s custom address (example: yourlist@gubb.net)
• Quickly change your view to 1, 2, 3 or 4-column presentation by selecting the link at the top of the page

What We Liked:

• Quick learning curve, simple interface
• Powerful email, RSS, calendar and SMS text messaging options for remembering and accessing your lists
• Ability to share lists among other users making it useful for group projects and delegating activities
• Light version for use on your iPhone or similar device
• Understands natural language commands such as “due next Friday”
• Ability to export your data means you’re not locked into Gubb if you change your mind

What We Didn’t Like:

• Printing lists leaves much to be desired
• Users with hundreds of list items may find the interface somewhat less efficient than other solutions
