I Vote For Art – Rate And Buy Artwork

ss-ivoteforart

I Vote For Art offers exactly what it says – a place where you can rate pieces of art. The site launched in 2008 with about 70 pieces of art and has been steadily adding work by emerging new artists ever since. I Vote For Art is an online art gallery, with several works prominently displayed on the home page. Just like a real gallery, you can elect to buy the items on display. Artwork is priced in Australian dollars and you can pay for them using PayPal.

This is a great way to find the perfect piece of art for a special gift. You can also feel good about rewarding artists with your vote even if you don’t purchase anything. Art that receives a high number of votes automatically move to the front page to increase their exposure. The site also works well for artists looking to showcase their work, though they have to make a special request to have their work featured.

Practical Uses:

  • Find a new painting to decorate your home
  • Create a themed room by buying artwork by the same artist
  • Use the site to showcase the best of your own work and possibly make some money as well

Insider Tips:

  • Check out the favorites tab to see which pieces of art are popular with the site owners
  • Try the ‘surprise me’ button to find something unusual
  • Consider purchasing high quality digital prints of your artwork through the site

  • There is detailed information on the mediums used and the size of the piece
  • It’s easy to calculate shipping costs for any item
