Kohive – The New Way to Collaborate

Whether you’re a writer, a designer, a student, a teacher, a family member, a friend, or anyone else who has ever wanted to work together with a team, Kohive is a web-based application that provides a better way for that collaboration to happen. Designed as a desktop interface that just so happens to operate in the clouds, Kohive lets users create multiple workspace “hives” where they can share files, photos, notes, videos, and bookmarks with other users at any time, day or night.

When you first start using Kohive, create separates hives for all the groups in your life. You can create hives for your family, friends, coworkers, and each business client if you wish. Kohive will also prompt you to set up multiple profiles for your single account, since you probably won’t want to share the same profile information with your business contacts as you would with your closest friends. Each hive can be set to public or private, and you begin uploading files, videos, and bookmarks to be included in the hive within an instant. Depending on the purpose of your hive, you’ll want to start using some of Kohive’s different features. Groups of coworkers can start using the task and messaging features to facilitate better communication about upcoming projects, while groups of friends can utilize status updates and file sharing to plan a road trip or a weekend event.

Unlike other project management applications, Kohive is equally as useful in keeping your social life organized as it is in keeping your business projects in order. The application integrates with Flickr, YouTube, and Twitter to allow users to embed photos, videos, and sync their social media newsfeeds with their Kohive accounts, while also offering a live filtering and search feature that is perfect for groups of business associates who need to locate important contracts and files quickly. Because of that, Kohive is an application that nearly anyone could find useful in a number of different settings.
