Itching to get out of the house and try something new? Tripline can help you do just that. The trip planning application offers users a way to plan their vacations and share those plans with others in an artistic and visually pleasing way. Vacation spots can be plotted strategically on customizable maps that include music, notes, photos, and anything else that can be dreamt up and embedded on the web.
Rather than answering the same questions about where you’re going, when you’ll be there, and who you’re going with 1,000 times before you take off for your next vacation, you can save your breath and your energy by posting the information on Tripline and sharing it with friends. Create a new trip by choosing a title and a starting location, then add additional place markers on the interactive map for each place you’re planning on visiting. You can add places by searching for an address or a landmark, or use the Tripline geocoder to find a specific geographic spot in the world. When you’re done adding places, start including stories, photos, and other information for each location you’ve plotted on the map.
When your trip plans have been made and you’re ready to embark on the adventure ahead, use Tripline’s sharing tools to send your creation to all the friends who’ve been asking about your upcoming plans. Upon your return from vacation, you’ll be able to add even more photos and dialogue to your Tripline map—essentially creating an online scrapbook full of all the best memories from your trip. For people who are looking for a better way to preserve their vacation photos and stories, Tripline is an excellent tool to try.

Thanks for the writeup Stephanie! A few of things I want to point out about Tripline to your readers:
1. You have full control over who sees your trips on Tripline. In the editor you can make your trips Public, Private or visible to Friends only. You also can add other travelers to Private trips and they will be the only people that can see the details. That’s a good way to handle upcoming trips if you’re concerned about people seeing your plans.
2. You can enter Private Notes for each place in your trip which are only visible to you or your fellow travelers. That’s a good way to store reservation info that you don’t want other people to see.
3. You can access and update your trips on the road via http://mobile.tripline.net You can even create new trips on the fly
Stay tuned for some great new photo features in the coming week.
