Sazneo – More Effective Internal & External Communication

Communication in the digital age should be easy. From landlines and mobile phones, to instant messaging applications and countless VoIP services, companies have hundreds of options when it comes to fostering in-house communication. Unfortunately, as almost anyone will attest, communicating effectively seems to only be getting more difficult as new technologies are introduced. Sazneo is a web-app that aims to solve this problem, by offering a straightforward way for professionals to communicate with colleagues and with clients.

Signing up for Sazneo takes less than 60 seconds, since all you need is a work-based email address to begin. Activate your account and invite colleagues to become members of your channel. A single company can have multiple channels, helping colleagues work effectively on separate projects without getting inundated with messages about an unrelated task. A Sazneo channel looks like a cross between a chat room and an email log. Any member of the team can post to the channel wall, where messages appear in chronological order. This communication format fosters group discussions and makes it easy for colleagues to catch up on the action when they’ve been out for a couple days. Virtually “nudge” a colleague to get his attention during an important discussion, or use the contact information on a user’s “address card” to initiate a private debate. Assuming you’ve downloaded the desktop notifier, you can set your alert preferences and decide for yourself when you can and cannot be disrupted to take part in a group conversation.

In addition to making it easier for colleagues to share files and communicate efficiently, Sazneo also makes it possible for its users to communicate with outside parties. Individual teams within a larger company can be virtually “linked” to external teams, which helps businesses connect with clients during major projects and improves collaboration efforts. When emails and instant messages aren’t enough, Sazneo is a new communication option for companies to explore.

Practical Uses:

  • Spend less time checking your email each day
  • Get caught up on a project status after being away on vacation
  • Refer back to previous conversations to settle internal debates and arguments
  • Collaborate with clients without having to schedule lengthy conference calls

Insider Tips:

  • The nudge feature allows a user to quickly get another user’s attention
  • Files can be uploaded directly into a project conversation
  • Download the desktop notifier to get messages on your desktop
  • The iPhone application allows employees to continue real-time conversations when they aren’t at work

What we liked:

  • Companies that use Sazneo can streamline their communications and cut down on pointless emails
  • Having multiple channels makes it easier to keep projects separate
  • Chat logs are saved, allowing users to refer back to a specific conversation later
  • It is easier to share files with a group using Sazneo than via email

What we didn’t like:
