Breezi – A Quick Way to Launch Interactive Sites

Breezi is a web-application that gives designers a quick way to launch interactive websites. Designed for creative people who want simple tools, Breezi gives perfectionists all the control they need when building their websites from scratch.

Designers, artists, and other “creative types” who tend to obsess over minute details can have a hard time working with most website building tools, since these applications often don’t provide users with the quality or control that perfectionists require. Breezi is a drag and drop website creator that gives its users total control over how their websites turn out. Take Breezi for a test drive before getting started on your site. Add content like blocks of text, videos, and images by selecting various apps for your site, then drag and drop those apps into place. You can use Breezi’s “style dots” to modify the style of your page at a “granular level,” easily changing the spacing, drop shadows, and gradients anywhere on your site. Any adjustments you make will show up immediately on the preview page.

Click the “Publish” button to make your site publically available. You always have the option to un-publish your site at any time, or you can hide certain pages from search engine crawlers to prevent being listed on sites like Google and Bing. For people who want a sophisticated site and aren’t afraid to do a little work to get there, Breezi is a great tool.

Practical Uses:

  • Design a website for the new retail store you’re opening
  • Promote your online business with a professional-looking website
  • Create a portfolio of your work for potential employers to view online
  • Make a travel website to share your latest adventures with friends and family

Insider Tips:

  • Users can add MailChimp’s email newsletter signup to their sites
  • Add a SoundCloud audio player to let visitors listen to audio files
  • E-commerce retailers can add Shopify widgets to their sites
  • Retailers can accept payments on their sites by adding PayPal buttons

What we liked:

  • Breezi lets designers stay in control when putting together their websites
  • Users can make granular changes to their website designs
  • Breezi offers plenty of widgets for adding various types of content to a site
  • People can publish and un-publish their sites at will

What we didn’t like:

  • Breezi isn’t as simple to use as some competing website builders
