Namez – Help People Pronounce Your Name

ss-namez
With more than 6,500 spoken languages in existence, it’s no wonder people have so much trouble with pronunciations. Mispronounced names, products, places, and companies can result in confusion, embarrassment, and even lost revenue. Namez is a web-based application that helps decrease the confusion that mispronunciations can cause.

Whether your name is Ryan, Rory, or Rumschuessel, there’s a good chance someone has mispronounced it at some point in your life. Put an end to the issue by signing up for Namez and recording your name using the microphone on your computer. Namez turns your recorded name into an attachment, which you can embed in your email signature or add to your online social profiles and CVs. You can also embed your name recording on a website or blog, which is particularly useful for companies or products with names that are difficult to pronounce. Visitors who click on the widget will hear a recording of your name, and they’ll be much less likely to mispronounce it when they place a call or talk about your business with their friends.

In addition to its main functionality, Namez also offers a search and discovery tool that people can use to hear common pronunciations of names. Enter the name of a favorite athlete, artist, band, or celebrity into the search bar, and click the audio button to hear how that name should correctly be pronounced.
