Seat Karma – Finding The Best Ticket Prices

ss-seatkarma

Seat Karma calls itself the ultimate live entertainment search engine. The site allows you to search through more than 200 ticket brokers to find the best seats at the best prices for theater, concerts, and sporting events. Seat Karma’s motto is no two tickets are alike so it works hard to provide critical buying information ahead of time. For live events especially, where you sit is just as important as having a seat.

Seat Karma does not sell tickets directly; it just redirects you to the best places to buy them yourself. The home page features a quick pick list of popular events in each category, but you can also use the standard search to find an event by venue, city or performer. This brings up a list of possible events matching your query; just click on anyone to view a seating map of the venue, set the number of tickets, and the maximum price you are willing to pay. Then click on a broker link in the list below the seating plan to purchase your ticket. This is a great seat and ticket comparison website, with the ability to see your anticipated view from the event being its killer feature.

Practical Uses:

  • Locate the best seats in the house to watch your favorite band perform
  • Make sure you aren’t stuck behind a pillar for the hockey game
  • See whether you can save money on your ticket by shifting a couple places to the left or right without impeding your view

Insider Tips:

  • Check out the venue maps so you can be sure you will have a good view of your chosen event
  • Look at the green dots to see where seats are located.
  • Hover over some of the dots to see a live map the view you will get

What we liked:

I have actually tried using this site, it doesn’t work real good. The seat maps are cumbersome, and there are a lot of dead links to tickets. Meaning when you click on a ticket it was already sold, but was still being displayed, super frustrating.

Listed above, Seathound.com claims to have live ticket, I have used them too, I don’t seem to have this problem there. Anyways, those are my 2 cents.
