Zankyou – Wedding Website and Gift List Creation

ss-zankyou

For brides and grooms to be, Zankyou offers a fast, easy way to create your own wedding website and gift list. Zankyou boasts of providing “wedding lists for the next generation” and they certainly don’t disappoint. With Zankyou, you can set up your own website and create a comprehensive gift list for your guests to browse. What you add to your list is up to you, but nothing is off limits. For instance, you can add practical household products, a dinner out, and even donations to the charity (or charities) of your choice.

Of course, your personal wedding website isn’t restricted to gift lists alone. You can add pictures, video and music as well as anything else you’d like your guests to know about you and your upcoming wedding. Guests can then browse your site, purchasing gifts and learning more about you.

Once your guests contribute the gift of their choice, you can initiate a money transfer to your bank account—meaning you’ll get the cash equivalent of their contribution delivered straight into your account. The downside of this is that it’s slightly impersonal for guests who actually want to go out of their way to purchase a meaningful present. For many people, however, Zankyou is a welcome solution to the traditionally stressful pre-wedding shopping.

Practical Uses:

  • Create your own website, adding photos and information about your wedding for your guests to browse
  • Dream big, adding anything you want to your wedding wish list
  • Organize and print invitations for your guests

Insider Tips:

  • Use the advanced privacy option, deciding who does (and doesn’t) have access to your webpage
  • Include your wedding list on your personal website or blog for easier access
  • Guests can phone in orders or ask questions by calling Zankyou’s customer service line
  • Export and import from Excel to help manage your guest list
  • If you’re short on time and aren’t picky, choose from one of Zankyou’s pre-made wedding lists

What we liked:

  • Always ensuring there’s still a gift in your price range by giving cash instead of buying directly off a gift registry
  • Websites are easy to create and there aren’t any pesky advertisements
  • Guests have the option of donating to charity
  • It’s an international site, so guests can browse in their own language
  • So far, the entire service is free

What we didn’t like:

  • The idea of money transfers can make gift giving a bit more impersonal

To be wed is one of the most memorable events in a person’s life. The use of cufflinks and other wedding accesories are just part of its elegance and art. When done out of love, weddings are just so hard to forget.
