STACKD – Get to Know Your Cube Mates

ss-stackd

Office buildings can be a tricky place. After all, how much do you really know about the guy in the adjacent cubicle or the people who you ride the elevator with each morning? If you’re like most people, the answer is probably not much. STACKD hopes to change that, though, by bringing businesses together and getting office buildings in touch. Rather than trying to track down someone you met in the hallway on Facebook or LinkedIn, STACKD simplifies the process by letting you search for people from within your own office building.

After signing up for a free account and inputting your business information, get started by browsing buildings on the STACKD site. Once you’ve located your own building on STACKD’s searchable map, click to see a listing of all the businesses within that building. Included in each company’s listing is contact information, background materials, and a list of “haves” and “needs,” which you can then use to pitch new business ideas, inquire about available conference room space, or just to get in touch and say hi.

Whether you use STACKD as a way to build your list of industry contacts, find additional office space within your building, or satisfying your curiosity about the mystery woman you met in the elevator—the potential uses for STACKD are limitless. We would definitely recommend the site to anyone who works in a large office building and has a general curiosity about the people who work around them, for networking purposes or otherwise.

  1. STACKD is now open worldwide. We’ve had a recent burst of activity so there are around 60 buildings that have joined up. Not critical mass yet but we’re making progress.
