Jux is a blogging platform that’s high on design and low on clutter. With no advertisements, sidebars, or obtrusive buttons, Jux gives people space to post their own written content and high-resolution images in a way that fills the screen and looks professional. Tumblr provides a sleeker alternative to Blogger and WordPress, and now Jux provides a sleeker alternative to Tumblr.
Make your own Jux blog by entering your email, choosing a password, and selecting a URL. Before you can start working on your first post, you’ll have to decide what type of post it’s going to be. Choose from a block quote, article, photo, video, slideshow, or countdown, then add your content and start setting your stylizing options. With Jux, you can choose the photo size, caption position, background color, photo effect, and font by changing a few setting in a drop down box. As soon as you click “Done,” your post will go live. Jux makes it easy to share posts via Twitter, Facebook, email, or with an embed code.
Every post on Jux is created for full-screen viewing, and they look just as crisp and clear on iPads and iPhones as they do on desktop screens. For people who want an even sleeker, more beautiful alternative to Tumblr, Jux is definitely worth trying out.
