Smore – Create a Digital Flyer

ss-smore

Smore is a web-app that’s bringing flyers into the modern era. Gone are the days when people could expect to get the word out about their causes by posting printed flyers on bulletin boards or telephone polls. Nowadays, people who want to promote their events, concerts, and rental listings are expanding their reach by publishing their information online.

Try out Smore for free while the app is still in beta. When you sign-up for an account, you can click “New Page,” and then hit the “Edit” button to add a title to your flyer. Smore lets you add whatever type of content you like—including images, links, and even shopping carts—simply by clicking on the spot where you’d like that content to appear. Changing your mind on the layout isn’t a problem at all, since you can drag and drop the various elements you’ve added into new positions at any time. Adjust the background, fonts, and colors based on the theme you’ve selected, and click “Publish” when you’re done.

The “flyer” you’ve created will be instantly uploaded to your own domain name or a unique Smore URL, in a format that’s viewable on mobile phones, tablets, and desktop computers. Smore offers a number of analytics tools that let you see who has viewed your page, how they’ve interacted with it, and whether your flyer is helping to achieve the goals you set.

Practical Uses:

  • Advertise the opening of your new business
  • Look for a roommate
