Tyba – Land a Dream Job or Internship

ss-tyba
Tyba is a platform that connects top-rated employers with qualified interns and junior-level associates. Designed to be used by both hiring managers and job seekers, Tyba utilizes a series of networking tools and filters to help recruiters search through applicants, pinpoint top candidates, and manage the profiles of standout individuals.

Take the first step in securing your dream internship or job by signing up for Tyba and creating a personal site. The individual site you’ll create on Tyba goes beyond a traditional resume or CV, giving you space to showcase your personality and life skills alongside your educational background and professional expertise. Import data from your LinkedIn or Facebook accounts to quickly populate your Tyba profile, and choose a theme that matches your personality. Explain your current situation (for example, that you’re a recent graduate looking for a sports marketing internship), and Tyba will make sure your profile comes up when recruiters in your industry are looking for people to hire.

Once an applicant has created his profile, it’s up to the recruiters who use Tyba to take the next step. Recruiters and hiring managers can use Tyba’s searching and filtering tools to find applicants who meet their minimum qualifications. They can then make contact with applicants and keep track of their favorites from within the digital platform.

Practical Uses:

  • Find a journalism internship
  • Get noticed by recruiters in your industry
  • Show off your technical skills with a stylish, creative profile
  • Quickly find an intern who is available to start working next week

Insider Tips:

  • New users can import information from LinkedIn or Facebook
  • Candidates can track how visitors found their profiles
  • Look at the profiles other candidates have created to find ways to improve your own
  • Recruiters can filter out students who graduated from certain universities

What we liked:

  • Candidates can sit back and let recruiters come to them
  • Recent grads without much work experience can post other information about themselves to make their applications stand out
  • Hiring managers can quickly sort candidates based on the skills they’re looking for
  • Recruiters can leave public or private comments with personal notes about specific candidates

What we didn’t like:

  • The usefulness of Tyba hinges on the number of recruiters who use the platform when searching for talent

Sent their support team an email four days ago to check why I could not set my account to “private” – no reply. Tweeted the co-founders – no reply. My full profile with personal details now appears unredacted in search results. — Not sure how an app without any privacy settings can get such a positive review.
