Denote is a web-based application that developers can use to add search engines to their websites and mobile apps. Using patented “Semantic Search” technology, Denote understands the content within specific websites pages and quickly directs visitors to where they need to go to find whatever they’re looking for.
Integrate Denote into your website or mobile app by copy/pasting the provided code. Denote will crawl your website in real-time, immediately detecting all the pages within the provided URL. Just like traditional search engines, Denote will then display search results for your visitors based on the keywords they enter into the search bar. Search results include a snippet of text, along with a link to the specific page where the content or the keyword can be found.
What makes Denote different than simple site searches is that the application provides web publishers with analytics. Using Denote, publishers can see the most popular keywords typed in by their visitors and how many results each keyword receives. Publishers can also see if any popular keywords have zero search results, and if so, they can develop content around the topics their visitors are already searching for. (For example, a publisher who notices that many of his or her readers are searching for “cookie recipes” can add more cookie recipes to his website or mobile app to meet that demand.) Denote also offers advanced search management features that publishers can use to customize the results that visitors see when they search for specific keywords or terms.
